“This winter, the SyFY Channel will make a dozen special make-up effects artist famous and one of them rich. This channel’s new series, Face Off, will pit effects artist against one another a make -up reality show slated to air in 2011.
Participants are expected to have experience with prosthetics, 3D design, animatronics, sculpting, eye enhancers, puppeteering, casting and molding. In each episode, the competitors ’ finished work will be revealed and one contestant will be sent home by a panel of experts and celebrity judges. The grand prize winner will receive $100,000.

I hardly ever read really only post but I felt the need to just vent out a little. If you didn’t know already I have a real job (9 to 5er!!! eek) I am trying to do make up full time and I have been trying to “keep on trucking” but boy can it get though sometimes. I have been so unproductive the last few weeks - even with just updating this blog! I haven’t done someone else’s make up for a job for a few months now. I know I should be drawing on my face every night when I get home but the truth is sometimes I am just so beat!
I have been having calls with two of my friends every week. It is just kind of like a pep talk for each of us so we know we are not alone in pursuing our dreams. They have been helping and I am trying to be more on top of things. I just can’t wait for when this is ALL I will need to worry about and not work the next day.

The other day I decided to do a make up look from my own head. I kind of just made it up as I went along. This is what I came up with.
I am oddly obsessed with it. I can not figure out if it because I am in love with it or hate it. I think I love it, there are things I want to change of course. I think this is a look I am going to have to play around with. Everyone that I have showed so far has liked it. They say it looks editorial/high fashion ish. By the way - my lips are covered in gold giltter :D !!
